Usage Recommendations

Example for Splitting a Hive into 2 Nucs:
If you need to divide the hive into 2 nucs, completely close the front entrance, add a divider, and open the rear trapezoidal closures, allowing each nuc to have its own flight opening.

Ventilation:
From February 1 to March 30, it is recommended to completely close the bottom ventilation with the plastic deck to support the colony's development at the end of winter and the beginning of spring. In April, gradually remove the deck depending on the current weather conditions.

In Summer:
On hot summer days with temperatures exceeding 30°C, use the ventilation closures in the lid instead of standard ones and place a breathable foil. Alternatively, place a propolis grid on the top frames and fully open the ventilation openings for better air circulation.

Varroa Monitoring:
If you need to collect wax samples or monitor Varroa mite fall, leave the plastic deck partially open (at least 5 cm) to ensure proper ventilation.
